The Champaign City Partnership will be hosting the Annual Parade of Lights on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 5 p.m. (new start time). To accommodate the parade route, the following streets will be closed to traffic beginning at 4 p.m. until after the parade is complete:
• Neil Street between University Avenue and Columbia Street
• Main Street between Neil Street and Chestnut Street
• Washington Street between Neil Street and Walnut Street
• Chester Street between Market Street and Neil Street
• Walnut Street between Washington Street and University Avenue
• Additionally, Taylor Street between Neil Street and Walnut Street will be closed after 10 a.m. on Saturday.
• Parking is available at the associated parking meters on the above streets until 4 p.m., after which they will need to be moved.
All vehicles parked at a parking meter within this area must be relocated by 4 p.m., or they will be subject to relocation. Free parking will be available at the Hill Street Parking Deck on Saturday. Detour routes around this area will be State Street, Randolph Street, and University Avenue.
Parking Lot Access: Please note the south portion of the Neil and Washington parking lot will be closed for parking due to Winter Fest activities. Parking will remain available in the northern portion Neil and Washington lot and the Walnut and Washington lot during the parade. However, entering and exiting the lots once the parade has begun will not be possible.
