The City of Champaign is again hosting a volunteer clean-up event this fall, America Recycles Day @ Boneyard Creek: Clean-Up to remove trash and litter from the City rights-of-way and creeks. This event will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025. For more information and to sign up visit this page.

America Recycles Day at Boneyard Creek Litter Clean-Up Event
When: Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. There will be no rain make-up date.
Where: Meet at the north end of the North First Street Parking Lot next to Prosperity Gardens at 302 N. First St., Champaign
Event details:
- We are once again looking for volunteers to help pick up litter along the Boneyard Creek!
- You will need to sign a waiver upon your arrival.
- We provide the gloves, buckets, pick-up sticks, trash and recycling bags, safety vests, etc.
- We will also provide FREE reusable canvas bags and t-shirts, if you’d like one.
- A FREE pizza lunch will once again be provided immediately following the clean-up!
