From August 22-24, 2025, the West Haven Watch group hosted a neighborhood clean-up event. Over the weekend, neighbors filled 2 dumpsters with unwanted bulk household items. Group leaders report that the best part of the event was the conversations neighbors had with each other. One neighbor, who grew up in Danville, said he was impressed by all the services Champaign offers to neighborhood groups as they did not have such programs when he grew up. Neighbors really showed up to help one another get items hauled to the dumpsters for their successful clean up.
