The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire inside a vacant home at 1803 Scottsdale Dr., September 18, 2022, at 7:19 a.m. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire inside this single-family home.
Firefighters responded to a report from a passerby of a fire in this single-story home. Once on the scene, firefighters reported heavy fire coming from the living room, located in the front of the home. Fire crews deployed multiple hose lines and quickly extinguished the fire.
The cause of this fire has not been determined as investigators remain on the scene conducting their investigation. One firefighter was treated for a minor laceration.
