The Neighborhood Services Department’s Neighborhood Relations Division (NRD) hosted the NRD Resource Exchange on Wednesday, March 18. Viktoria Ford from Friends of Geese shared information on humane management of the goose population. Attendees included members of various Homeowners Association (HOA) groups across the city, and one participant asked how to encourage geese to move away from their church parking lot. Those present learned about the process of safely oiling eggs, how to obtain the permit needed to do so, and the reporting steps required once the eggs are removed from the nest. The monthly NRD Resource Exchanges offer an opportunity for the city’s registered group leaders to learn from subject matter experts about various neighborhood issues.
