In order to complete an emergency water main repair, Illinois American Water Company has closed one southbound lane of Mattis Avenue between Henry Street and Sheridan Road. The closure began on Saturday, January 17, and will reopen on Friday, January 23, 2026, weather permitting. During the closure, southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in the area.
