In order to perform a storm sewer repair, SNC Construction will be closing both westbound lanes of University Avenue between Chestnut Street and Market Street.
• All westbound University Avenue traffic will merge into a single lane and follow a marked detour through downtown, rejoining University Avenue at its intersection with Neil Street.
• Eastbound University Avenue traffic will not be affected by this closure.
• All intersections along University Avenue will remain open to normal traffic patterns, except for southbound Chestnut Street, which will be restricted from turning westbound onto University Avenue.
Work is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, November 17, and is planned to be completed and reopened to traffic by 4 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, weather permitting.
