Systems Administrator Colleen Kilian (Information Technologies Department) represented the City of Champaign at the National Association of Government Web Professionals (NAGW) Annual Conference, held October 14–17, 2025, in Denver, Colorado.
Colleen served as a panelist for “Making Accessibility Real: Challenges, Solutions, and Insights,” where she and other experts discussed practical strategies for improving digital accessibility in government websites. She also presented a solo session titled “Redesign Real Talk: How I Took the First Step Toward DOJ Compliance,” sharing lessons learned from her experience leading a website redesign toward accessibility and compliance standards. Colleen currently serves on NAGW’s Board of Directors as both an At-Large Director and Treasurer.
This year’s conference brought together more than 114 digital and web professionals from across the country to exchange ideas on topics including accessibility, user experience, content strategy, cybersecurity, AI tools, and best practices in digital governance.
