One Hope United | Open House

On April 23, 2025, City staff from both the Champaign Police Department and the Equity & Engagement Department were present at an open house hosted by One Hope United. This Illinois-based non-profit organization provides crucial support to approximately 10,000 children each year through educational programs, family and youth assistance, and mental health services. The event showcased One Hope United’s latest initiative, the Hope House, which will specifically offer support and resources for children involved in the child and family services system within the community.

During the open house, city staff engaged in a question and answer session with Hope House personnel, which demonstrated their commitment to understanding and fostering collaboration with the new facility. Illinois State Senator Paul Faraci and his staff were in attendance which further highlighted the significance of the Hope House, as well as the wider community and political support for vulnerable children and families in Champaign.
