The Champaign Fire Department responded to a vehicle on fire next to a home in the 500 block of Harris Ave., Monday, March 24, 2025, at 3:49 p.m. Fire crews were able to quickly get the fire under control.
Firefighters responded to a report of a fully involved vehicle fire next to a single-family home. Once on the scene, crews deployed a single hose line to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from extending into the home.
The cause of this fire has not been determined as investigators remain on scene conducting their investigation. There were no firefighter injuries reported.
