In order to repair a water main near the intersection of Kirby Avenue and State Street, Illinois American Water and Shaw Brothers have closed the two eastbound lanes of Kirby Avenue at State Street. One eastbound and one westbound lane of Kirby Avenue traffic are being maintained. The lanes will be reopened on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 18, 2024, once temporary pavement patching has been completed.
