The Public Works Department will soon install a “Funeral Only” parking sign on the west side of Elm Street, just south of the Owen’s Funeral Home driveway. Owen’s Funeral Home (Owen’s) is situated at 101 N. Elm Street. This will give Owen’s enough room to bring in the hearse when cars are parked on both sides of the street, and it will make it easier for drivers heading south on Elm Street to see University Avenue. Approximately 45 feet of unmarked parking space will be removed to accommodate this action.
