Staff from the Fire and Human Resources Departments have collaborated to launch the 2024 Firefighter recruitment process. Applications are being accepted at NationalTestingNetwork.com through September 13. The testing process will conclude with the 2025-2027 Entry Level Firefighter Eligibility List that is scheduled to be approved by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners in February, 2025.
In addition to traditional recruitment strategies, the Fire Department is offering an Adult Fire Explorers program in an effort to increase the diversity of qualified applicants. Fire and HR staff will also be hosting a virtual Recruitment Information Meeting through Zoom on Tuesday, July 9, at 5:30 PM Central Time. The Meeting can be accessed here.
