On Thursday, April 18, the Fire Department canvassed two neighborhoods that had recently suffered fires, testing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and installing new alarms in homes that need them.
Firefighters went door-to-door in the 1300 block of Joanne Ln. and 4800 block of W. Windsor Rd, making sure homes had working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and sharing fire safety information with residents. Firefighters and staff left safety information with nearly 30 homes and installed 30 smoke alarms and 10 combination smoke/carbon monoxide alarms.
