The City of Champaign will host the 2024 Champaign Neighborhood Network Conference (CNNC) on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the I Hotel and Conference Center. The conference is designed to support Champaign’s neighborhood-based community engagement and organizing efforts by providing resources, tools, and information to increase the capacity of neighborhood residents, volunteers, and grassroots organizers to positively impact their neighborhoods.
The one-day conference will include twenty-one workshops from various City Departments, local governing bodies, institutions, and community partner agencies covering topics relevant to maintaining vibrant and engaged neighborhoods. During lunch, conference attendees will have an opportunity to hear from our Keynote Speaker, Neighborhoods USA President Precious McKesson. Neighborhoods USA is a national member organization supporting capacity development and organizing efforts of neighborhood groups and grassroots volunteers throughout the country.
Registration for the conference is free and open to the public until April 15, 2024, however; seats are limited! Those interested in attending the Champaign Neighborhood Network Conference can get more information on the workshops and register by visiting the City’s website at champaignil.gov/cnnc.
