This year’s Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA)-sponsored One-Day Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event in Champaign County is still to be determined. The IEPA has not secured a contractor at this time, so no 2024 event dates have been set. They were hoping to host an event in April; however, it does not look like that will happen. They are still actively working to secure an event date for 2024.
In the meantime, you may wish to subscribe to the City’s email notification list to receive Public Works Department news for updates. There are also long-term collection facilities available within the State. Visit this site for locations and details.
