In order to reconstruct the north side sidewalk and retaining wall along the Springfield Avenue viaduct, Stark Excavating will close the westbound lane of Springfield Avenue between South Market Street and South Water Street. Both Market Street and Water Street will remain accessible throughout the closure. This work is a continuation of the South Downtown Sanitary Sewer Project.
The new closure will begin on Monday, March 11, 2024, and is expected to last several weeks. This work is weather dependent and may be delayed in the event of inclement weather. More lane and/or road closures will be announced throughout the phases of the project.
