Former O’Charley’s Property Cleanup

The Code Compliance Division responded to a complaint of tarps and refuse at the former O’Charley’s restaurant property.  The inspector found two people living outside of the building.  There was an accumulation of shopping carts, tarps, garbage, and other refuse.  A nuisance notice was issued to the owner of the property.  Neighborhood Services staff contacted the Street Outreach staff at Strides Shelter.  The Street Outreach workers offered resources to the two individuals prior to the cleanup.  The owner did not take any actions to clean up the property so a work order was issued to a nuisance abatement contractor and the property owner will be billed the cost of the clean up plus a $100 administrative fee.
