The City of Champaign is engaged in a comprehensive assessment of the City’s development review, permitting, and inspection processes. The City has hired Matrix Consultants to evaluate current processes and gather suggestions and feedback from the development community concerning these City services.
Interested stakeholders are invited to attend a focus group next week to share suggestions and feedback concerning their past experiences engaging with the City for various permitting and inspection services. The City is also seeking feedback from any individual who is new to the development review, permitting and inspection operations, in order to capture their unique questions and observations. To encourage meaningful feedback, City staff will not attend the focus groups.
The focus groups will be held October 11-12, 2023, at the Champaign Public Library (Busey Bank Conference Room 222, 200 W. Green St., Champaign) as follows:
