Mayor Feinen Elected First Vice President of the Illinois Municipal League

On September 23, 2023, Mayor Deborah Frank Feinen was unanimously elected to a one-year term as the Illinois Municipal League’s (IML) First Vice President. IML is a statewide association that represents Illinois communities and provides a united voice on matters involving common interests across the state. Mayor Feinen was elected to this leadership position during the 110th IML Annual Conference. Mayor Feinen has proudly served on the IML Board of Directors since 2020.

“Through my ongoing service on the Illinois Municipal League Board of Directors I will continue to advocate for the City of Champaign and the other 1,294 municipalities in Illinois by promoting policies that support local governments and strengthen our communities,” said Mayor Deborah Frank Feinen. “It is an honor to be chosen by my fellow Board members to serve as IML’s First Vice President for the coming year. I look forward to continuing our important work to manage and innovate solutions for the complex issues that local governments are facing so we can achieve our shared goal of improving the lives of those we serve.”
