Residential Fire – 1002 N. Third St.

The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire inside a single-family home at 1002 N. Third St., October 25, at 8:02 a.m. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire in this single-family home.

Firefighters responded to a report from a passerby of a fire in the residence. Once on the scene, firefighters reported moderate smoke and fire coming from the front of the structure. Fire crews deployed multiple hose lines and quickly extinguished the fire.

The cause of this fire is under investigation as investigators remain on the scene. There were no occupant or firefighter injuries reported as a result of this fire.
