HR Staff Presents on City Hiring Process in Library’s “Ask an Employer” Series

On August 9, 2022, Human Resources Specialist Stacy Rachel conducted a presentation for the Champaign Library’s “Ask an Employer” series. The purpose of the series is to give local employers the opportunity to connect with community members and share insights into their organization’s application and selection procedures. The goal is to promote local employment opportunities by demystifying these processes, making it easier and less intimidating for community members to apply for positions in the future. Stacy’s presentation included an overview of the City organization, the benefits of a career in public service, and a deep dive into the City’s job posting, application, and hiring processes. The presentation concluded with walk through of the City’s jobs webpage. The Human Resources Department thanks the Library for the invitation to collaborate on this event.
