Residential Fire – 4309 Stonebridge Ct.

The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire in a residence at 4309 Stonebridge Ct., Thursday, May 26th, at 2:06 a.m. Fire crews remain on the scene working to extinguish the fire in this single-family home.

Firefighters responded to a report from the neighbor of a fire in this two-story residence. Once on the scene, firefighters reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the home. Firefighters deployed multiple hose lines and have worked from outside the home to extinguish the fire and protect nearby homes. The incident commander quickly called for a second alarm for additional firefighters and resources to respond to the scene.

The cause of this fire has not been determined as investigators remain on the scene conducting their investigation. There have been no firefighter injuries reported. The home has sustained heavy damage from the fire causing the occupants to be displaced.
