The Neighborhood Services Department completed a cleanup along the north side of Hedge Road on May 17, 2022, in preparation of the flower planting coming in the near future under the leadership of the Planning and Development Department. Fifteen neighbors and staff participated and deposited two small pickup truck loads of debris at Public Works.
Neighborhood Services staff also went door to door to the homes on the south side of Hedge Road during this same event. Staff listened to neighbors’ concerns regarding speeding along Hedge and shared “coming soon” dates for Hedge Road Pop Park events on May 26 and June 10Â Staff also began the enrollment process for the new Modified SLEEP Program, which offers the opportunity for residents in the Garden Hills neighborhood to have free yard lights, entry lights and video doorbells installed. Staff also talked with neighbors about safety concerns and possible solutions for the area.
