Neighborhood Services Hosts Job Shadowing Student

On April 20, 2022, the Neighborhood Services Department hosted a job shadowing student from Unity High School. The student was able to ask questions and Kerri Wiman (Neighborhood Services Director), Jaqueline Kalipeni (Neighborhood Ambassador Supervisor), and Joshua Weddle (Administrative Assistant) were able to provide insightful answers. One of the questions she asked was how each of them ended up in public service, and specifically in Neighborhood Services. Each employee described their unique backgrounds which allows for diverse ideas, problems solving, and approaches. They explained they each took very different career paths which demonstrates it is rarely a strait path to a career in public service. They also advised the student to follow her passion which will lead her towards the career path she desires.
