The Champaign Fire and Human Resources Departments are pleased to announce the successful completion of the 2021-2023 Firefighter Eligibility List testing process. Departmental representatives collaborated with the testing vendor, National Testing Network, to develop and implement a process in compliance with COVID-19 safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. The testing process is conducted every two years and is comprised of multiple steps including: application and required documentation submission, written exam, oral board interview, Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT), and preference points.
The final rank-ordered list of 82 candidates will be used to fill vacancies as they occur within the Fire Department through February 27, 2023. Both City Departments appreciate the assistance of everyone involved in the process, including the oral board proctors and assessors.
