The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire inside a home at 202 Nelson Ct., Friday, January 29, 2021, at 8:57 p.m. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire in this single-family home.
Firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the attached garage of this single-story home, called in by the occupants. Once on the scene, fire crews reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the attached garage. Firefighters deployed multiple hose lines and extinguished the fire that had originated in the garage of the home.
The cause of this fire is undetermined as investigators remain on the scene conducting their investigation. There were no firefighter or occupant injuries reported. The occupants will be displaced as a result of the damage.
