Champaign Police Investigating Shooting, Release Suspect Vehicle and Suspect Photo

On April 11, 2020, at approximately 9:52 a.m., Champaign Police responded to the 400 block of Edgebrook Drive for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located multiple shell casings to confirm the shots fired report. At approximately 9:59 a.m., Champaign Police were notified a 20-year-old male arrived by private vehicle at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The preliminary investigation indicates a subject exited a dark-colored vehicle and fired multiple rounds, striking the victim. The subject then returned to the vehicle and fled the scene. Police are releasing a photo of the vehicle (pictured) and suspect (pictured) believed to be involved in the incident.
