The Annual Town Meeting for the City of Champaign Township scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2020 has been cancelled in accordance with the below guidance.
On April 7, 2020, Governor Pritzker issued COVID-19 Related Emergency Order 2020-22 pursuant to Sections 7(1), 7(2), 7(8), and 7(12) of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act, 20 ILCS 3305; and provisions of the Township Code, 60 ILCS 1/30-5(a) and 30-5(b), requiring that each township’s annual township meeting for calendar year 2020 be held on either April 14, 2020 or April 21, 2020 are suspended through the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations.
This emergency order is effective immediately and will remain in place until further emergency order of the Governor or the expiration of Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamations, Emergency Order 2020-022.
