The Champaign Fire Department responded to a working fire at 1600 W. Bradley Ave., Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 9:24 p.m. Upon arrival on the scene, fire crews found smoke coming from a 2nd floor apartment in building “N”. Crews quickly extinguished a small fire in the living room using a fire extinguisher.
The resident had escaped the apartment from a 2nd floor window prior to fire department arrival. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported. One resident was displaced due to the fire and the fire remains under investigation.
