The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that two intersections near the Bradley Avenue bridge reconstruction work zone will close Monday, Aug. 26.
The intersections of Alpine Drive and Crestwood Drive at Bradley Avenue will close Aug. 26 as the work zone moves farther east. The intersections will remain closed for the duration of the project, which is expected to be complete by the end of November.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
