Today, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Champaign Police responded to the 100 block of Kenwood Road for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a 26-year-old male victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stab wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
The preliminary investigation suggests a verbal, domestic dispute escalated into a physical altercation, which led to the stabbing. No arrests have been made.
