Fred Stavins and Tom Yu of the City’s Legal Department, in conjunction with Dennis Schmidt and Dave Clark of the Public Works Department, made a presentation entitled “Ethics: Practical Ethics for the Public Works Professional” at the 2019 American Public Works Association Illinois Chapter Conference in Peoria on May 3, 2019. The presentation included an overview of statutes governing ethics in the State of Illinois as well as presenting several practical situations in which the audience had an opportunity to analyze work-like factual situations.
