Three City employees – Seth Brewer (Finance), Cynthia Chandler (Information Technologies) and Daphne Greaves(Information Technologies) – attended the annual Tyler Connect Conference which was held in Dallas, Texas from April 7-10. Tyler, the software company behind the City’s financial and human resources software, uses Tyler Connect to provide opportunities for training and networking between Tyler user communities.
The theme of this year’s Connect conference was “Fueling Connected Communities,” which builds on the vision first introduced at Tyler Connect 2017. Lynn Moore, President and CEO of Tyler, and Chief Strategy Officer Bruce Graham presented on the developments Tyler has made in making Connected Communities a reality in an opening session on April 8.
Conference highlights included 1,100 training classes and a conversation with former President George W. Bush to a crowd of nearly 7,000 conference attendees. Over a three-day period, government and school clients had the opportunity to learn more about Tyler’s products and solutions, share best practices with their peers, and engage in discussions on industry topics such as citizen transparency, cybersecurity, citizen engagement, and data analysis.
