On Saturday, March 30, Rehabilitation Technician Joe Lewis presented a Home Maintenance Workshop as part of The Habitat for Humanity’s Money Smart Week program. The workshop was held at the Habitat Restore, 119 E. University, Champaign. The presentation consisted of maintenance tips for homeowners, including visual checks inside and outside the home, replacement of furnace filters, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and knowing the locations of main water and gas shut off valves, among other items. There were eight participants at the workshop, engaging and asking good questions about how preventative home care saves money.
