The Champaign Fire Department and the Champaign Exchange Club will honor the 2018 Firefighter of the Year recipient, Lieutenant Jason Dillingham, on March 18, 2019. A ceremony will be held at O’Charley’s, 730 W. Town Center Blvd., from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Lieutenant Jason Dillingham continually seeks opportunities to enhance his skill set and impacts as a company officer. He is actively involved in multiple training programs within the Department and is the principal instructor for several programs including the training of firefighters in incident command. Lieutenant Dillingham also serves as an advisor for the Champaign Fire Department Explorer Post. As a fire company officer, he continually strives to deliver excellent customer service and ensures that all homes where his company responds to have working smoke alarms. His contribution to the department and the community exemplifies the giving, caring, and resourceful spirit of those serving in the Champaign Fire Department.
