UPDATE: Suspect Identified, Warrant Issued in Oct. 30 Shooting Investigation

Champaign Police have identified Jaliqwon Robertson (pictured) as the suspect in yesterday’s shooting investigation that occurred in the 900 block of North 3rd Street. A warrant has been issued for Robertson’s arrest for the charge of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm. Bond on the warrant was set at $500,000.

On Oct. 30, 2018, at approximately 1:17 p.m., Champaign Police responded to the 900 block of North 3rd Street for a report of shots fired. Responding officers located a male victim inside a car in the 1100 block of North 4th Street suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Robertson is described as a 20-year-old black male, 5’6”, and approximately 148 pounds with dark hair.

 

The preliminary investigation has revealed he was accompanied by several other individuals and we are currently seeking information as to their identity and their involvement in this incident.
