DOWNTOWN INTERSECTION AND RESURFACING IMPROVEMENTS
As part of the Downtown Intersection and Resurfacing Improvements Project, milling and paving activities will begin on Friday, August 17 and continue for several days. As the project moves around the Downtown area, no parking signs will be posted at meters. Please proceed cautiously through construction zones and use alternate routes whenever possible. The contractor will attempt to complete construction activities as quickly as possible to minimize inconveniences to residents, businesses, and the traveling public.
Below is the current schedule for this work, weather dependent (the order of streets will remain the same):
Note: Tuesday 8/21 will be used for additional prep work for paving. While work is occurring on Walnut St. and Neil St., one lane of traffic will be open at all times. While work is occurring on Chester St., Taylor St., and Market St., the streets will be closed to through traffic.
