Graduates of the 2017 Academy of Champaign City Government 101(CCG-101) were recognized during a graduation celebration held on Tuesday, December 5. The celebration began with a dinner reception for CCG-101 students, the Mayor, City Council, and staff. Information on City Boards and Commissions was available to the students, as there are several CCG-101 alumni who have served or are currently serving on boards and commissions or City Council. The students then received their graduation certificates from Mayor Feinen during a televised recognition in Council Chambers. Graduation requirements include attending eight of the twelve CCG-101 sessions. The 2017 Academy graduated fourteen students with two students achieving perfect attendance.
