On July 25, 2017 at approximately 1:30 AM, Champaign Police Officers responded to the 1400 Block of Williamsburg after receiving multiple reports of gunshots heard in the area. Upon arrival, police located evidence of gunfire, and shortly thereafter were advised of a 28-year-old male that arrived at Carle Hospital by private vehicle, having suffered a non-critical gunshot wound to the leg.
Additional information concerning this incident is being developed and Champaign Police Detectives and Investigators from the Champaign County Street Crimes Task Force (SCTF) are investigating.
