On behalf of the Bristol Place redevelopment partners, AHDVS, LLC, submitted to the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) a pre-application for the 9% low income housing tax credits (LIHTC). LIHTC provides the majority of funding for affordable housing rental developments across the nation and the 9% tax credits are highly competitive. IHDA will review the pre-applications from across the state and then send invitations to those projects that appear to meet the criteria of the program. The Bristol Place development team previously reviewed the Bristol Place project with IHDA and anticipates an invitation to apply in April with the full application due June 23.
