As of September 2016, an average of 1.6 foreclosures were filed per month. RealtyTrac states one in every 944 Illinois housing units received a foreclosure filing in September of 2016. Champaign County is considered low-moderate risk on their indicator chart as one in every 2,931 housing units received a foreclosure notice in September. Staff will continue to monitor City of Champaign filings to assess the impact on the community.
