City Attorney Frederick Stavins receives the James H. Epps, III Award for Longevity of Service on September 30, 2016

In a ceremony held during their 81st Annual Conference on September 30 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel in San Diego, California, the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) presented Champaign City Attorney Frederick Stavins with the James H. Epps, III Award for Longevity of Service to a Community. Fred has served as the City Attorney of Champaign, Illinois for 35 years.

This is a milestone award for significant achievement that recognizes those local government lawyers who have the political and legal skills necessary to persevere through changes in government to represent the same community over a period of at least 30 consecutive years.
