On Saturday, October 15, the City of Champaign Community Relations Office and the Human Relations Commission partnered with the City of Urbana Human Relations Office and Urbana Human Relations Commission to host a resource table at the 10th Annual disABILITY Resource Expo, held at the Fluid Event Center in Champaign.

The disABILITY Resource Expo is a full-service information and resource fair with vendors who provide services or products that enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families and friends. This year, due to previous years’ success, the Expo was expanded to allow for more vendors, and the steering committee reached outside of Champaign County to invite vendors and patrons to attend.

According to Barbara Bressner, Champaign Human Relations Commissioner and Expo Coordinator, based on a number of factors, steering committee members estimate that approximately 2000 people attended the expo this year, making this the most well attended event in the ten years since its inception.
