Due to electrical work at the State Farm Center on Wednesday, July 13, the traffic signals at the intersections of First Street and Fourth Street along Kirby Avenue will be placed on generator power from 5 p.m. until 9 p..m. The generator power, will allow the traffic signals to operate as normal. In the event of a generator failure, temporary stop signs will be placed at the intersections. The electrical work will also affect street lights in the area, which will be out for the duration of the outage. The City of Champaign appreciates the cooperation of travelers through this area.
