In order to repair and line a sanitary sewer interceptor, Urbana Champaign Sanitary District and Visu-Sewer have closed lanes at the intersection of Neil and Columbia:
- Northbound and southbound Neil Street traffic are reduced to one lane in each direction. Lanes shift near the intersection of Columbia Avenue.
- Eastbound Columbia Avenue traffic has been detoured at the intersection of Neil Street. Vehicles turn either north or south onto Neil Street.
These lane closures began on Monday, March 7, 2016 and have been extended to Friday, March 18, 2016, when all lanes will be reopened.
