Champaign Police Seek Suspect in Shooting Investigation

Champaign Police Detectives have identified a suspect associated with the recent shooting incidents in the area of 1200 N. Hickory and the 1300 Block of N. Prospect.

On November 14, 2015, Champaign Police obtained an arrest warrant for Shaundrell D. Brown, a 20-year-old male from Champaign for the offense of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, a Class X Felony. Bond on the warrant is set at $200,000.

During the evening of November 13, 2015, Champaign Police officers responded to the area of 1200 N. Hickory St. in Champaign for a reported shooting. Officers subsequently determined that a male subject had been injured from gunfire and was transported to a local hospital.

On the morning of November 14, 2015, Champaign Police officers responded to the 1300 block of N. Prospect Ave. for a reported shooting. A male subject that had sustained multiple gunshot wounds was located and transported to a local hospital for serious medical treatment.

Brown is suspected in both of these shootings.

The Champaign Police Department asks that anyone with information relating to the incident, or the whereabouts of Shaundrell D. Brown to contact the Champaign Police Department Investigations Division at 217-351-4545.
