Champaign Police Investigate Shooting

On Monday, July 13, 2015, at approximately 11:53 PM, Champaign Police responded to the area of Garden Hills for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found a male subject on Holly Hill Road, who was the victim of a shooting. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Champaign Police Investigators responded to the scene of the crime, where a canvass of the area recovered evidence including a single shell casing. At this time investigators are interviewing potential witnesses.

The public is urged to contact Police with any information that may help in solving this crime. Police ask that anyone who may have heard or may have been witness to the circumstances surrounding this incident to please contact the Champaign Police Department at 217-351-4545.
