Champaign Government Television (CGTV) is proud to have telecast two live candidate forums to our viewers during the month of March. The forums were sponsored by The League of Women Voters of Champaign County, NAACP of Champaign County, C-U AAUW, Prairie Group of the Sierra Club, and The News-Gazette.
A candidate forum on March 12th included Champaign School Board and Urbana Park Board candidates. A candidate forum on March 18th featured candidates for Champaign Mayor, Champaign Park Board, and Parkland College Board.
City staff operated the production equipment and telecast the forums live both on CGTV and on the Internet. The forums replay on CGTV multiple times leading up to the election, and are also available for on-demand viewing on CGTV Online.
