On January 6, 2015, a pre-bid walk through of 1208, 1209, 1309 and 1311 N. Clock St. was held. Although the outside temperature was extremely cold, several contractors came out to complete evaluations in order to submit a bid to demolish the structures. The following contractors were present during the walk-through: Kam Services Inc, Earth Services, Veya Inc., and Ezell Excavating. Property Maintenance Inspector Cliff Peete met with all the contractors and thanked each one for coming out and braving the cold weather.
The demolition contract was advertised for bids in the News-Gazette on December 21, 2014. Sealed bids for the demolition and site clearance for the above referenced addresses must be received in the office of the City Clerk by 9:00 a.m. prevailing time on January 15, 2015. Bids received by that time will be publicly opened and read aloud on this date in the City Council Chambers at 9:30 a.m.
